Our stay was filled with mixed experiences. The location was fantastic, providing easy access to both on-site activities and nearby attractions. The family-friendly pool area was a highlight, with plenty of space for relaxation. On the downside, I encountered issues with the dining options and a disappointing experience regarding the crib for my child. Overall, it's a nice place for families, but some areas could use improvement.

Rooms

The room we stayed in was adequate but felt dated and could use some updates. It was a bit worn, which didn't match the price we paid.
Service
5.0
While most of the staff were attentive and friendly, I had a frustrating experience regarding the crib request, which took a long time to resolve and didn't meet the expected quality.
Location

The resort is ideally situated for exploring both the waterpark and nearby attractions like McKinney Falls and Austin, making it convenient for various activities.
Dining

Dining options were a letdown, particularly the quality for the price. We found better value outside of the hotel, especially with a food truck option that impressed us.
Facilities

The family-friendly pool with a lazy river was fantastic, offering great fun for the kids. However, the lack of a large traditional pool was a slight disappointment.

The resort is absolutely perfect for a family getaway, with a variety of activities to keep everyone entertained. The scenic views and relaxing atmosphere allowed us to unwind completely. However, we did have a hiccup with the air conditioning in our room, which impacted our comfort a bit. Overall, it offers incredible value for families looking for an immersive experience in nature.

5.8/10

While the resort offers a variety of fun activities and some really scenic grounds, my experience was marred by several significant issues. The food and drink prices are too high for the quality provided, and the service, although friendly, was often slow. Additionally, the lack of adequate lighting around the resort made navigating at night quite concerning. On the bright side, there are plenty of engaging activities for families, and the rooms are generally comfortable.

Rooms
7.0
The room was clean and comfortable, although a bit dated. It offered a pleasant view of the golf course and pond, which was a nice touch.
Service
6.0
The service was friendly, but the staff was often overwhelmed, leading to slow responses, especially at the dining venues.
Location
6.0
The resort is somewhat isolated, which limits dining options outside the property. However, it does have a nice, peaceful ambiance.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was disappointing due to high prices and mediocre food quality. The cost felt disproportionate to what was served.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were decent, with a nice pool and various recreational activities, but certain areas, like the pool bar, closed too early.

I really wanted to love my stay at Lost Pines, especially given its beautiful surroundings, but there were several issues that took away from the experience. While the grounds are stunning and offer many activities for kids, the dining options felt overpriced and of average quality. Additionally, the pool area was much too crowded, making it hard to relax. Overall, it was a good family experience, but I expected more given the price.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were nice and clean, but they did feel a bit outdated and could use some refreshing.
Service

Service was hit or miss; I had some truly wonderful interactions, but there were moments where it felt a bit average.
Location
8.0
The resort is situated in a beautiful natural setting, which is perfect for outdoor activities, but the size of the grounds made it feel a bit overwhelming at times.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were decent but rather expensive for what you get; I felt some meals didn't justify their prices.
Facilities
6.0
Facilities were good with plenty of activities available, but the pool was overcrowded and could use an expansion.

We had a great family's time at Lost Pines Resort, enjoying the range of activities and the fantastic pool area. While the food was mostly good, some service gaps made parts of our stay a bit disappointing. The rooms were quite spacious but could use some improvements in terms of comfort and functionality. Overall, there's a lot to appreciate, especially for families, although I would suggest enhancements in service consistency and room setup.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were spacious but the recent remodel made them less functional for our family needs, such as losing seating options.
Service
7.0
Some staff were very accommodating and helpful, but we did encounter issues like delayed room cleaning.
Location

The resort is set in a beautiful area, perfect for nature activities and exploration.
Dining

Dining options were decent, with some standout dishes, but not uniformly exceptional. The service at one restaurant left much to be desired.

The variety of facilities, especially the pool with a lazy river, was fantastic and a highlight for us.
